It's been snowing here on a regular basis lately.

The other day a family friend came by our office.  I wasn't at the office at the time.  My car was sitting in the parking lot covered with snow.  He cleaned off my car.  I just happened to put up before he was finished.  I was really thankful I didn't have to get out there and remove the snow myself.

It got me to thinking about where are the gentlemen in this world. 

Yes there are some who will open the door to a building.  You rarely see men open the car door for a lady.  I know that it can be dangerous to pull over if some one's car is broken down.  It wouldn't hurt to ask if you need help.  For that matter offer to call a tow truck for you.

Is the gentlemen extinct????

I had a man at church tell me that it sounded like my car needed oil.  Yet he never offered to check it for me.  He just said you better check your oil.

I do know how to check my oil.  It just would have been nice if he offered.

You see elderly people at the grocery store struggle to put groceries in their car men just walk by.  

In this fast paced world did we forget to teach our young men how to be gentlemen???

I want to shout out my new neighbors Brian and Tiffany.  They are raising their sons to be gentlemen.  I came home after we had one our lastest snow storms.  To my surprise Brian and his two sons had shoveled my driveway, sidewalk and front porch.  I had not formally met them yet.  I'm very thankful that they did that for me a complete stranger.  It was a pleasure to say thank you.

I wish that we had more gentlemen in this world that were from my generation.  They don't seem to exist anymore.

As a woman we can do a lot of things on our own.  It's just nice seeing a man being a gentlemen with no strings attached.
