News, Relationships, Renee Says

Being single and 3o+ with no children has become something of the norm…

Many men/women have chosen to put career before marriage and children.

Several of my friends and I are apart of this group.  We think of ourselves  as rare commodity.  There are so many of us walking around in major cities all over the US.

It got me to thinking about how much pressure your family, friends, magazines and t.v.  put on you to get married and have children.

My response as of late has been where do you find the person for you??

I'm not into clubbing anymore.  I haven't met anyone at my church.  I'm not looking for a thug selling drugs.  Or the married man that wants to be your friend (with benefits).  I don't want them.  I would be scared of online dating.  So where do you find Mr or Mrs. Right???

I also find that men have the same issues when it come to finding a mate.  They want someone who is going to take care of the home.

There are so many men/women that give up on the hope of finding the person God has for them  and just settle for the first person to come along that pays them some attention even if it means sharing.

Like the married man/woman who just wants to hang out with you to get away from the pressures of home.  They haven't set boundaries at home so they feel the pressure of always being needed.  So they look for someone who doesn't need anything from them.   A place they think will get them away from the pressures of home.  Giving you empty promises to one day leave.

Or the man/woman who is preying on someone to take care of them.  He isn't a man if he wants you to pay him to be with you or the woman being the provider at home.  Just because you don't stand on the corner or work for a call service its still prostitution if you leave her money on the night stand to help her pay a bill.

God has someone for you if you ask and wait for Him to send them to you.  You can not help Him out.  It doesn't work!!!

Are you settling??
