Self-Control

Self-Control

Self-Control

I was at a conference this weekend.

Everything was FREE!!!

All you had to do was get there.

During lunch I noticed people trying to get everything off the buffet line.

It amazed me that people did not have self-control.

They poured on as much food as the plates would hold.

There was no regard for the people that were waiting in line.

It got me to thinking that about having self-control.

Self-control in your life is very important.

Without self-control your life can spiral out of control.

Self-control with your health.

Means maintaining a healthy diet requires using self-control.

Limiting the size of your portions on your meals uses self-control.

You need self-control to do some physical exercise each week.

Not over indulging on sweeties and junk food helps with your self-control.

Self-control with your money.

Spending all your money each paycheck is a true lack of self-control.

Writing checks with no money in the bank shows you have no self-control.

The additional fees from the bank take away from your ability to pay your bills.

Self-control with your budget.

Having no budget is a lack of self-control.

Balancing your check book on a regular basis requires self-control.

Knowing how each dollar is spent helps you maintain your budget.

Having self-control means paying your bills on time.

Self-control with your life style.

Wanting to keep up the Jones's as a lack of self-control.

Not adjusting your lifestyle when you receive a raise or bonus if a form of self-control.

Many people increase spending when they receive a bonus or raise.

Self-control is the ability to save the additional money or pay off debt with the new income.

Self-control with the amount of debt you have.

Charging items on your credit cards with no plan to pay off the debt shows a lack of  self-control.

Self-control means coming up with a plan to pay off your debt with out adding to it.

Self-control in your relationships.

Knowing that we have to accept people for who they are is apart of having self-control.

It takes self-control to know we can not change anybody.

We must accept them the way they are.

As we want people to accept us the way we are.

Saying no to family and friends when it comes to credit and money takes great self-control.

You may save a relationship by having self-control and the ability to say no I can not loan you the money or co-sign for credit.

The person asking you doesn't have enough self-control to wait until they can afford to purchase whatever they want you to loan or co-sign.

As a former shopaholic I experienced the lack of self-control with my finances.

It took me changing my mindset in order to get things right.

I was tried of the phone calls.

So now I live by a budget.

I have a life happens savings fund.

Making financial decision to have self-control of my life took some time.

In the end it has been worth telling my self no.

I only go to the store with something specific to purchase.

If I don't find what I'm looking for I don't but anything.

Now that takes self-control!!!

Do you have self-control???
