Rear View Mirror

Have you ever had a conversation with someone and the main focus was on the past???

I recently had a conversation with someone and that happened.  All he could dwell on was the past.

He talked about what he use to do and what he use to have.

It got me to thinking when we drive down the street you don't keep your eye in the rear view mirror.

You look forward so that you know where you are going.

When we continue to look in the rear view mirror we can not move forward.

Eventually you will stumble if you are walking forward and keep looking behind you.

The same is true if your income has changed for the less, your credit has tanked, or your debt is high.

You have to take hold of what your finances are now or what your credit score is now.

Dwelling in the rear view mirror about past relationship mistakes will keep you from meeting the right person for you.

Forgiveness of your past mistakes will help you keep looking forward and stop beating yourself up in the rear view mirror.

Truly forgiving others will give you peace and stop you from dragging up the past from your rear view mirror.

A glance every now and again in the rear view mirror should keep us focused on the task ahead.

You will never live by a budget if you keep looking back at the money mistakes of your past.

You will never get your credit score up if you keep paying your bills late.

You will never pay off your credit cards continuing to add to the amount.

You need to run forward with where you are now and stop looking in the rear view mirror.

That brings to mind scary movies you know the people are going to be killed because they keep looking back.

The only time that you should be looking in the rear view mirror is the glance around to see your surroundings.

They should remind you not to blow your budget on shopping sprees, pay-per-view sports events, casino trips and etc.

They should remind you of how important it is to pay all your bills on time.

They should remind you that the new person is not "Bill" or "Kathy" and they did not break your heart or mess up your credit.

The view from the front is much clearer than the rear view mirror.

Are you still looking in the rear view mirror???
