I was recently at McDonald's buying a smoothie.  The young lady at the window gave me back to much change.  When I got her attention to give it back to her she looked at me like I was crazy for giving it back to her.  It was only 50 cent.

My first thought was that this young lady does not know how to count back change.  But that is another blog altogether.

I always think that it is a test when things like that happen on what will I do.

It got me to thinking about having integrity in your life.

Some people might think that I'm crazy for giving the change back. 

I just have too.  It doesn't sit well with me if I don't.

I have returned to a store because I found that the cashier has not rang up an item.  I have been told that it was OK.  But I have to pay for what I get.

I left a pair of pants at Banana Republic because the cashier never rang up the item.  I didn't realize that I had not paid for the pants until I was ready to exchange them for a different size. 

The associates in the store didn't know what do.  They didn't have my size to exchange so I left the pants behind.  Now if they had my size I would have just paid for them.  However they still tried to get me to take the pants.

Keeping my integrity is part of my way of life.
