Garage Sale

(Piggy Bank Summer 2011)

This past weekend I had a garage sale. 

It was my very first garage sale.

I had so much fun.

I was only going to do the garage sale on Saturday.

I liked it so much I added on Sunday.

 The weather was nice for a garage sale.

I learned a few lessons from the garage sale.

Never tell people that you're moving or desperate at your garage sale.

People will really try to low ball you if they think you need to move things fast.

Some neighbors only come to be noisy at your garage sale.

When they do don't get offended.

It's a great way to meet different people.

Breaking the ice is hard for some neighbors.

You hear some interesting stories.

Greet everyone that comes in your yard for the garage sale.

Having a warm smile eases the buyer.

Make sure you put your signs out 2-3 days before your garage sale.

It takes people three times to notice the garage sale signs.

Big lesson was you need to be out early for the garage sale.

I had things to do in the morning of the garage sale.

So I was late starting for many professional garage sale shoppers.

Also you want to give yourself room to negotiate the price of any item.

I was able to put $153.00 in my piggy bank from the garage sale.

I didn't have a lot of items to sell.

You may have things in your garage, attic, or basement that you have not used in years.

Its time to put a price tag on them.

You can use the money from the Garage Sale to:

Pay a bill.

Put in your piggy bank.

Increase your life happens fund.

Buy something that you need.

Get something done that you have been putting off for lack of funds.

This weekend is a great time for a garage sale.
