I recently went on a first date.
I decided that I would do something different. I didn't do all the talking. After I answered a question about myself I asked a few questions of my own. It allowed him to do most of the talking. I got the chance to just listen.
I actually had fun. I had no expectations for the date. I didn't look down the road past this date. If we never go out again that's fine with me.
Asking questions allows you to get to know someone. With out you supplying them with the answers for what you are looking for in a mate. They tell what they want you to know. This doesn't allow he/she to pretend to be the things you want by giving them all the answers.
Wait until the fourth or fifth date to tell someone what you do for a living. You're career is not who you are. It's simple what you do.
The next date I go on I will not do all the talking. There will be a whole lot of listening on my behalf.
Have fun. Even if I don't want a second date. Enjoy the date.
