Exaggeration is a Lie.
I know many people who stretch the truth.
Normally I would look past what they say because I know them. I calculate in my mind what the truth really is.
Today I have decided to look at it another way.
When we exaggerate we don't believe that the truth is enough. We have to impress people to be liked or accepted as the expert in something.
Is the truth enough???
I think so…
So going forward when I talk to people I know that exaggerate I'm going to call them on it.
I owe that to them and myself.
A lie is a lie. There is no way around it.
Impress me with the ability to tell the truth!!!
So when I'm talking if I don't know the correct information I will simple state what I think it is and admit I may be wrong. But giving stretched information to simply impress other people is not for me anymore.
We must hold ourselves accountable for telling the truth.
Exaggerating only makes us look good for a while.
When the truth is told or made known we become exposed.
It is what it is!!! No exaggeration needed.
