It was talking about getting back with an ex-lover during the holidays.
The holidays can be the loneliest time of the year. There are songs that inspire about Christmas. Then there are the songs like "What do the lonely do at Christmas?" Even if I was in a relationship that song would depress me. Often times we resort back to what we are familiar with instead of dealing with where we are.
