News, Renee Says

I'm learning to be a true BUDGETER!

"Yeah, this budgeting thing, it's just completely changed my life. I've got to stop. I think there's a 12-step program out there somewhere for people like me, you know, people that are reaching their financial goals, don't feel guilty about spending money, have great communication with their spouse, etc.
Hi. My name is Jesse and I'm a budgeter".
This a recent quote that I read from an email Jesse Mecham founder of You Need A Budget
Many times we think that being a budgeter as a poor person who does not have financial means so they have to pinch pennies.
He talks about in this email how he checked his bank account several times a day.
He had a few overdraft fees from checks he didn't think they were going to cash.
Does that sound familiar???

No control over your finances.
Never having enough money to pay all your bills.
Emergenies happen and you have you life happens fund to turn too.
Now that he has become a budgeter he no longer looks at his account everyday.
He and his wife at the beginning of the month plan how they are going to spend their money.
They also talk about their financial goals.
The email is a satire about being a budgeter.
Being a budgeter means not chasing checks to the bank.
Being a budgeter means when the property taxes are due the money is in the bank because you already planned for it.
Being a budgeter means knowing where and how you are spending your money.

Are you a budgeter???
