It's April once again.
The first day of April we
commonly call April Fools
or April Fool's Day.
I woke up this morning
thinking about how many of
us play April Fools jokes
with our finances.
All to often many people
have no idea what their
actual checking or savings account balance is. So when you bounce a check its
April Fools on you. The bank gets to keep making money off of you.
When you find yourself bouncing checks you have probably played April Fools
with your budget.
Not planning how you spend your money can leave you in a rut.
Each dollar you earn has a purpose.
Instead of playing April Fools with the budget try www.ynab.com.
This is the software I recommend to my clients to get their finances under
control.
Many people continue to not take advantage of getting their free credit report
from www.annualcreditreport.com.
April Fools on you for not knowing your credit score.
It doesn't make since to apply for credit hoping you can make your purchase
an be unaware of where your credit stands.
Another April Fools joke we play on ourselves is with the amount of debt we
carry.
Instead of paying down our credit cards we lie to ourselves about paying off
the purchases when we make them.
Many people love the 12-18 months same as cash financing.
However, if you don't pay off the balance you are charged for the interest from
the beginning.
Being unwilling to get yourself out of debt is a big April Fools joke on your
pockets.
You must come up with a plan to payoff the debt in order to save money and
improve your credit score.
If you have been playing April Fools jokes with your finances its time to stop.
Today is a good day to look at your credit score.
Today is a good day to balance your checking account.
Today is a good day to start working on a budget.
Are you playing April Fools with your finances???
