Appearances

I attended a convention a few weeks ago.

There were so many people trying to keep up appearances.

As I talked to different people about my story and credit secrets kit.

I noticed that many were trying to appear as if they had it altogether.

There were only a few people who admitted that they had some form of credit issue in the past or present.

The Encarta dictionary defines appearances as outward aspect. An outward aspect of somebody or something that creates a particular impression. The place gives the appearance of prosperity. Don't be fooled by appearances.

It got me to thinking about how we put on appearances to hide the things in our lives that we are ashamed of and don't want anyone to know the truth.

I have found over the past few years that not many people are willing to admit that they have bad credit.

Even fewer will admit to not having control over their finances.

This includes being able to budget their money.

It holds true for the amount of credit card debt owed.

Many people are on a financial suicide mission.

Continuing to add to debt that they have no way to pay off.

Keeping up appearances will cause you to spend money you do not have.

You can put a good appearence on the outside and be going through hell on the inside.

Many people are sad and unhappy with their lives.

Yet when you see them they put on the appearance that everything is okay.

I did this for two years.

I put on the appearance that my life was great.

I put on the appearance I still had the same money.

I put on the appearance that I could still shop until I dropped.

I was killing myself slowly with these appearences.

I never let anyone know that I was having anxiety attacks.

It wasn't until I stopped putting on these appearences that I got the help I needed.

Whenever you decide to stop putting on appearences you will be able to get your credit, budget, debt and finances in order.
